KVBBQ Festival FAQ

This year marks the seventh time we have hosted a festival on the November weekend and in that time there have been a few commonly asked questions. So, to help the public we have posted the answers here.

How Do I Buy Food and Drinks?

All of the vendors will have a mobile eftpos terminal to take your payment so you will not need to carry cash. Just your card.

Can We Camp There?

No, not at the Friendly inn. There is a camping ground at Bendeela Recreation Area. This is about 9km away on Bendeela Rd, Kangaroo Valley. Alternatives include Glenmack Caravan Park (500m) and Holiday Haven Tourist Park (1.5km). These have camping and cabins/caravans

Where Can I Stay?

We have partnered with Visit Kangaroo Valley (KV Chamber of Commerce). Contact them here. You will find comprehensive accommodation guides and you can access their online booking service.

Are Dogs Allowed?

Sorry no pets are allowed. There are food safety concerns and lots of familys with little kids etc. With appreciate your understanding.

Is There Public Transport? How can I get back to my accommodation?

Stuart's Coaches are running two shuttle bus services, Bendeela to KVBBQ and Nowra via Bomaderry to KVBBQ.

The full details are available at this page >>> SHUTTLE TRANSPORT

Is There Parking Available?

There is general parking adjacent to the pub and on the main street. Overflow parking is available 500 meters away at the Showground.

Why Is It Ticketed Now?

Its such a popular festival and we have had increasing numbers year on year. There's way more event attractions and we really want to make sure you're all looked after. Ticket sales allow for much better planning and execution because the event is growing.

What Does My Ticket Get Me?

General Entry access to the Festival. This includes Brewers Stalls, Food Stalls and Food Trucks, Pig Racing, Trade Stalls, Live Music, Cooking Demos, Helicopter rides, Lawnmower Races. Read about whats on in our event blog.

Will I be Able To buy Tickets On The Day?

This is a very popular event and tickets are really selling fast. If the festival is not sold out beforehand, there will be tickets available at the gate.

Wrapping up. Here's what we learned. The event is a family friendly festival of fun. There should be something for everyone if everyone likes Craft Beer and BBQ  😉
