The Blue Dog BBQ team originated from Sydney. Our debut competition was the original Sydney Meatstock 2016 at Homebush, Sydney. Even though the competition was held in a bitumen car park and the temperature was over 40'C both days, we all loved it and were hooked firmly into the Aussie BBQ scene...

Team Bio

We still consider ourselves very much a backyard setup, Blue Dog Run a combination of kettles, bullets, pellets and cabinet smokers at every competition. We also do our best to chin wag with the general patrons at the events and give them any tips we can and spread the good word on all things BBQ.

We've made some great mates since the first comp in Feb 2016 and whilst travelling and competing up and down the eastern side of Australia. We especially love heading back to Kangaroo Valley each year.

  • Due to council regulations the teams may not sell their BBQ. However, judges do get to taste & score all entries.
